Scrumptious September Events That You Don’t Want to Miss

Summer is officially over and here at Plantana we’re entering our annual monthly closure where we take a brief moment of quiet to give our beautiful property some TLC. September is generally known to be a quiet month in Cayman as we enter into hurricane season. However in true Cayman-style, you’ll continue to find the event calendar is full with something for the whole family!

Spectacular views of the sunset, Caribbean music, food under the stars, what more could you ask for? Head to The Wharf on September 7 and enjoy Caribbean inspired food and music by Barefoot Man. Also enjoy seeing the team at the Wharf feed our friends from the sea – the fascinating tarpons. This is a Wharf daily ritual, a must see for the kids, but parents will love it too.

Once you’ve finished wining and dining make your way to the local theater to see Into the Woods at The Prospect Playhouse showing from September 12 to October 5. James Lapine and Stephen Sondheim take everyone’s favorite storybook characters and bring them together for this timeless, modern day classic. Tickets always sell fast so be sure to book your tickets online today.

Missing your daily workout routine? Or simply need to work off some of the delicious food you’ve indulged in while on vacation? Join the locals and participate in the annual 2 mile Fidelity Fun Run on September 7, 14 and 21.

For all the foodies out there looking for a taste of the delicious culinary treats on offer in Cayman, head down to Live Street Food Festival on September 21. George Town will be bustling for a night of epicurean adventure offering an eclectic selection of street food from Cayman’s favorite chefs, restaurants and food trucks. If you’re a lover of food, you’re not going to miss this one.
