Cayman Brunch for Every Budget

In Cayman, family, friends and food go hand in hand. That’s why Sunday brunch is a must do when visiting our islands in the sun (aka the Culinary Capital of the Caribbean), even with your amazing Plantana kitchen!

But with so many amazing choices and so few Sundays how can you pick just one? Well, we’ve pulled together some of our favorite brunches to help make your decision a little easier this summer. We even listed the restaurants in order of distance from Plantana!

Ferdinand’s at the Westin Beach Resort

CI $75 (including Prosecco and a margarita bar)

Despite being one of the oldest brunches on island, Ferdinand’s manages to keep their brunch buffet fresh by combing continental dishes with Caribbean flavors. Take advantage of their margarita bar – a true highlight of their offerings.

AVE at the Kimpton Seafire

CI $75 (including Prosecco)

You will want to stay for every minute of AVE’s brunch. Taking inspiration from Spanish gastronomy, the chefs put on a show of culinary delights every Sunday brunch. You will want to return each year to see how it improves, as the restaurant closes briefly allowing the chefs to travel during September and early October to gather further inspiration and techniques.

Andiamo at the Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman

CI $45 (drinks not included)

The A-La-Carte family style Brunch served at Andiamo focuses on highlighting the flavors of high quality ingredients. Although their menu is smaller than some brunches, their dishes will certainly impress your taste buds.

Enjoy brunching here until the end of summer, and then again from late October onwards.  They take a break to refresh the restaurant in September and early October.

Blue Cilantro

CI $62 (including Prosecco)

If you prefer to sit back and have your food brought to you then, the elegant Blue Cilantro’s A-La-Carte Brunch will be right up your alley. Select your favorites from their breakfast menu and small plates menu and indulge in the selection of starter plates that come by your table. If you find yourself enjoying a starter plate, feel free to ask for seconds!

Anchor & Den at the Marriott Beach Resort

CI $70 (including Prosecco)

The idea behind Anchor & Den’s Boulangerie Brunch is keeping their dish stylish, gourmet and homemade. And they succeed with their true deli specialties served in a beautiful, relaxed atmosphere.  Be sure to make reservations as this is a popular spot with locals as well as hotel guests.

The Lighthouse (Breakers)

CI $29 (drinks not included)

The Lighthouse brunch focuses on blending fresh, local seafood and Italian cuisine. The views from this restaurant are spectacular, especially from their seaside deck. Be sure to try the Tuna Tartare, Mozzarella Carprese and Grilled Mahi-Mahi with Cayman Style Sauce.

Tukka

CI $30 (bottomless bubbles add $22)

The scenic drive out to East End is the perfect way to build up your appetite as you head out to Tukka for their brunch buffet. There you can have your fill of their carving station, barbeque station, cold buffet, breakfast buffet, hot buffet and dessert buffet. You will also be treated to a show with the feeding of the Frigate Birds taking place at 1:00pm every Sunday.

What’s your favorite Cayman brunch?  Leave your thoughts on any of our social media platforms!

It is important to keep in mind when booking your brunch that the service charge added to all restaurant bills is not included in the brunch pricing. This typically ranges from 15% to 17%.  And as always, be sure to have a designated driver if you decide to indulge in any of the adult beverages on offer.

And remember, if you’d prefer a lazy Sunday by the pool or beach, there are grocery stores close by your Plantana beach home. Pick up some fresh, local ingredients and take advantage of your kitchen facilities and the BBQ area by preparing a homemade brunch for you and your guests.
