A Plantana Summer Farewell and Welcome

Change is an inevitable part of life and when it’s positive, there is much to celebrate.  In a few weeks, Plantana’s Guest Services Manager, Rita Estevanovich, will be heading off to pursue a Master’s of Fine Arts in Actor and Performer Training – a long time goal for the award-winning thespian.  While she will miss Plantana’s guests, owners and staff, Rita is thrilled to have spent two and a half years at the property developing friendships and making stays memorable for new and repeat guests.

“I am truly grateful to the caring owners and guests I interacted with at Plantana.  I have so many special memories and will miss the staff that has become like a second family.  I also have a greater appreciation for one of Cayman’s economic pillars – tourism – and will be cheering my team on from across the pond.  Thank you all for sharing this wonderful experience with me.”

Enter stage right Kelly Phillips – the newest addition to the Plantana family.  Over the last month, Kelly has worked alongside Rita and the team in preparation for her role as Plantana’s incoming Guest Services Manager.  She comes prepared to take on the multi-faceted role which encompasses Quality Assurance and Marketing among other things. Kelly has a degree in Hospitality Management and is the former Assistant Manager of The Club Lounge at The Ritz-Carlton, Grand Cayman.

“I am excited to take on this new opportunity and become part of the Plantana family. Rita has been a great mentor and teacher, and I know I have big shoes to fill! I can’t wait to meet all the Owners and welcome new and repeat guests to our little slice of heaven on Seven Mile Beach. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for the warm welcome.”

Plantana will continue to grow and develop talent in the years to come but one thing will remain the same – the goal of providing superior service including a family friendly environment, beautiful beach homes that you can call homes away from home and a stunning property where you can soak up the sun.
