June: Kicking off summer

While many are getting ready to wind down and start relaxing as the days become longer and the temperature higher, Cayman’s fitness community is heating up just in time for summer.

In celebration of Global Wellness Day, The Ritz-Carlton Grand Cayman will be offering a complimentary yoga class on Saturday, June 8 to help you stretch your way into summer. The class will take place outside on their Great Lawn, allowing you to fully immerse yourself into in the beauty of our island paradise. Reserve your spot by calling (345) 815-6900.

Beat the heat and enter to win some amazing prizes by entering the Flower’s Sea Swim. Taking place on June 15, swimmers from across the globe come together to race along a stretch of the crystal clear waters of Seven Mile Beach. The odds are in your favour with roughly 1-in-7 racers winning a prize including airline tickets, tablets, holidays and phones. You can also register to walk the race along the beach from the Ritz-Carlton to Royal Palms and still be entered into the prize draw. All registration proceeds will be donated to the Special Olympics Cayman Islands.

And on June 17, local and visiting swimming aficionados will be taking to the waters to race in the Flowers International 3K and 10k swim. While not for the inexperienced, the exciting race to the finish line is a must see!

Looking for a family friendly activity while on vacation? KidFest is taking place on Saturday 29 June at the beautiful and historic Pedro St James Castle. The kids can enjoy complimentary face painting, snow-cones, cotton candy and pizza while you enjoy live entertainment. Kids 13 and under get in for free while adult tickets are sold at the gate.  Be sure to tour the Castle and learn more about Cayman’s cultural heritage.
