We are truly ‘your beach home away from home’
While you will likely want to spend all your time on our uncrowded, pristine coral sand beach, you will find that when you finally do retire to your Plantana condo, you will feel like you are home (minus the mess, of course!).
Each beach home has a lovely kitchen with all the trimmings, including a stove, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator with an icemaker. With two supermarkets less than 5 minutes away, you can easily whip up your favourite comfort food to treat yourself after a busy day of relaxing by the beach.
You will also find a washer and dryer in your room, so you will never be without your favourite lounge wear or swimsuit for that matter. And, of course, we have air conditioning and ceiling fans to help you cool down after a long day in the sun.
High speed internet in the units (and the pool and beach) will connect you to family and friends during your fabulous Caribbean retreat.
And with daily housekeeping (except for Sunday), we remove the work from your vacation so you can focus on more important things, like ‘me time’.
We’ve got your back on the beach
Although we love the beach, we do not like sunburn or crowds; a wet, sandy beach towel needs a back up and toys are always a must!
Thankfully, we are blessed to have lush, mature Casuarina pine trees scattered along our beach front as well as an iconic Sea Grape tree that provides gorgeous shade to help protect you from the sun. We have umbrellas spotted across the beach, so you will never struggle to find somewhere to take a break from the sun, and lots of beach chairs and side tables make it easy to carve out your own area.
Need help entertaining the little ones on the beach? We have a toy box filled with noodles, inflatable beach toys, spades and buckets and basically anything a kid would need to enjoy a day at the beach. Big kids included! And towels…our self-serve towel exchange at the office makes all the difference when you’re hitting the beach all day, or 2 – 3 times for the day!
We transport you to a tropical paradise
Our professionally landscaped gardens will capture your eye and your camera lens with their sea of bright colours.
Here at Plantana, we boast a wide variety of local, tropical plants including our national flower, the endemic Wild Banana Orchid, and our national tree, the indigenous Silver Thatch Palm (to appreciate this beauty, be sure to look out for hand plaited thatch hats, bags and other accessories, that have been skilfully created by local artisans with the dried tops of the Silver Thatch Palm, while you are at the local craft market).
We are also home to Sea Grape Trees, Bougainvillea, Scaevola, Casuarina, Coconut Palms, Areca Palms, Ferns, other orchid varieties and Crotons. Keep an eye out for the bright butterflies, Curly Tail Lizards and a host of nectar feeding birds who call our gardens home. Will you be able to spot them all?
