Plantana Condos has had another successful year and we are proud of our diligent team who uphold the CaymanKind way of life and share that spirit of community with our guests Many of you will remember one particular team member, “Vijay”, having to stay goodbye last year and it being a bittersweet moment for all. Thankfully, Locksley, also of Qualscape Limited, filled in and we were thrilled to have this kind, hardworking and helpful individual on board to take the reins as groundskeeper. You will be happy to know that Locksley is still on property assisting us with the preservation of our lush gardens, but, Vijay is back!
Vijay (whose birthname is Jagdeo Narayan) is loved by owners, co-workers and guests for always going above and beyond. He exceeds expectations and takes initiative, always checking in to make sure things are going smoothly or asking how he can pitch in to make things better. Whether keeping our stretch of Seven Mile beach spic and span at dawn, maintaining the look of our beautiful grounds and winding sidewalks, painting myriad surfaces throughout the property or just helping guests of all ages with requests like coconut chopping, firing up grills and moving luggage, Vijay is a star player at Plantana.
This is also evidenced by the fact that he was nominated by Plantana and Qualscape– and awarded – the Cayman Islands Tourism Association’s Allied Employee of the Year in 2017. Everyone at Plantana is so very happy to see him back in action during our annual seasonal maintenance period, and we are looking forward to another busy and fruitful year with him on the team.
