We've stayed at Plantana several times and it gets better every time - the Caymanian staff are so gracious and pleasant, the gardens have never been prettier, and the internet service has been upgraded to excellent. This section of the beach is still the best in the Caymans! Our condo is spotlessly clean with top-of-the-line fixtures. Some great stores have opened in Governor's Square across the street and so you really can find everything you want within walking distance - that's a huge plus. While we did enjoy some restaurants, our very best meals were prepared on the charcoal grill outside the door and shared around the table on our screened porch. We visited Stingray City, the turtle farm, parasailed, jet skied, rode horseback on the beach, and floated around that beautiful "Cayman blue" ocean for hours! ."

This is our first stay at Plantana. WOW! What an incredible stay we have had. Twenty seven years ago we came to celebrate our honeymoon - this time we brought our 14 year old twin girls. Who would have thought that you could go out about 75 yards from the beach and see such incredible fish and coral - the fish actually came out to greet us. Amazing! Grand Cayman in general, Plantana in particular: a peaceful paradise. The white sand beach is clean and not crowded, then, the water is even better: buoyant, clear, warm, and such an amazing color. We loved Plantana's beautiful garden and lawns. My husband and I could walk down the beach to live evening entertainment; we could eat in restaurants, shop for food and in other shops across West Bay Road. Our children adored every minute of our visit, especially the turtle farm and pirate ship sunset cruise. The island is easy to get around, safe, and the people are unfailingly friendly. We all can't wait to return. ."

Plantana and Cayman exceeded our expectations! We really valued the many amenities of our particular condo. What a perfect spot on the beach, along with great staff, grounds-keeping and beach supplies. We will be back! ."

After doing the course work ahead of time, our grandchildren became fully certified divers during their ten day visit. They did their open water checkout right off Plantana's beach; for our following dives, we were picked up by boat out front as well. Three generations scuba diving together was terrific fun -- we introduced them to great coral reefs teaming with spectacular fish, octopus, squid, etc., but their favorite dive was at a wreck that included a close-up visit with a friendly resident eel. Each evening we BBQ'd and re-visited the day's underwater adventures by video. For our family, Plantana was the perfect vacation destination. ."
