Hurricane Ivan – Two Years Later

September 12, 2006 marks the second anniversary of hurricane Ivan, the most powerful storm to ever hit the Cayman Islands. The Caymans are back to normal, the sandy beaches and coral reefs are in excellent shape, and the marine life is thriving. The bulk of the work to repair Plantana was completed by February 2005.

However, since repairs to the buildings and individual units were completed, many additional upgrades have been made. New tile walkways have been added, the exterior of the buildings have been painted, the fresh water pool has been resurfaced, and the much loved hammock has been reinstalled. A great deal of attention has been paid to the landscaping, which is now as beautiful and lush as ever.

The Management and Staff look forward to a normal year, and Guests can expect to find Plantana in top condition, inside and out.
