We look forward to introducing you to our island home and helping you feel at home during your stay at Plantana Condos on Seven Mile Beach. We hope you will notice the pride we take in making Plantana a place that we are proud to care for and proud to share with our guests. Read more about our staff below, or contact us to learn more. We look forward to meeting you in-person.

Theresa Broderick

Theresa Broderick, or Tessa, has overseen all aspects of the property management and rental operations of Plantana since she joined the staff in 2010 as general manager. With more than 20 years of experience in organizational leadership positions, Tessa is a natural leader whose focus is on delivering excellence in operations and customer experiences through teamwork and fiscal responsibility. Being born in Cayman, Tessa is right at home on the island and loves to share her home with those who come to visit. In addition to spending time with her daughter and husband, Theresa loves to see her guests truly comfortable and enjoying time with their friends and family, knowing she was a part of making that happen. While Tessa has been awarded numerous awards for dedication and achievement throughout her career, she says, smiling, that the “real reward is the personal satisfaction and joy” she gets from helping those she works with excel and building long-lasting relationships.

Assisting Tessa are Janine Walton, who supports reservations and guest services, and Mark Huck, or Moke, who helps manage operations and accounts administration.

Janine started her career in the hospitality industry in Jamaica before moving to the Cayman Islands in 1986. She has been in customer service for more than 30 years, with the past 22 years in condo management. Janine joined Plantana in 2011 and loves meeting new people, enjoying what she does each day. When she is not working at Plantana, she is active in her church and local organizations and has completed several tourism training classes, including PRIDE, which is conducted by the Department of Tourism.

Moke has worked in the Cayman tourism industry for the past 26 years, focusing primarily on the dive industry, which is the passion that first brought him to Grand Cayman. Moke has worked at Plantana since 2011 and enjoys interacting with the guest and owners at Plantana.

Roberto oversees the maintenance of buildings and interiors at Plantana. He joined the Plantana team in early 2012 and is happy he has a job that allows him to use his passion for interior detailing and home improvement projects. He loves helping others and meeting new people every day.

Vijay joined Plantana in 2008 and currently helps with maintenance, grounds-keeping, and landscaping. Originally from Trinidad, Vijay loves working outdoors, and while his job is to take care of the grounds and beach, his first priority is “always taking care of our guests.” He loves meeting people from all over the world and is especially moved that owners and return guests look for him when they return for a visit.

Alba has worked as a housekeeper in the hospitality industry for the past 21 years since moving to Cayman from Cuba. She joined the Plantana staff in 2011 and most enjoys the opportunity to help make visitors feel at home and comfortable. She prides herself on doing a great job and making people feel great while they enjoy their stay.

Angelita moved to Cayman from her home in Cuba more than 20 years ago and has worked in condos and luxury hotels for the past 14 years. She loves meeting new people and getting to know the guests at Plantana, where she has worked since 2006. Angelita loves perfection, so she prides herself on making sure units are “spotless and welcoming.” When she is not working, she loves to dance, enjoy music, and research websites especially home décor sites.

Cristina joined Plantana in 2006, but has worked in housekeeping for 18 years. She has won three customer service awards during her career. These awards and her love of helping people and keeping things clean and organized motivate her to be one of the best housekeepers in Cayman.

It is with great sorrow that we share with you news of the recent passing of a long-standing member of our hospitality team, Dellia Seymour

Dellia was a strong, proud, reliable, independent and hardworking lady and had become like family for so many of us, employees, owners and visiting guests alike, so we know that Dellia was appreciated and loved by many. May her soul rest in peace.

Iliana joined the housekeeping staff at Plantana in 2012, where she assists the other housekeepers and works on special projects to keep Plantana clean and well maintained. She loves details, cleaning, and organizing, which make her perfect for her job.

Miss Sadie has worked as the Plantana laundress since 1999, where she has become a favorite of both staff and guests. With warm hospitality, she loves to meet new guests and welcome them to her island, which she calls “heaven on earth.” Miss Sadie has worked in the tourism hospitality industry for more than 40 years and enjoys doing a good job at everything she does--whether it is running her laundry room or cooking a delicious meal for her friends and family.
