The Public Health Department of the Cayman Islands has recently announced that Cayman has been removed from the Zika virus travel advisory list.

The Cayman Islands deployed an aggressive mosquito control methodology that stabilized the threat of Zika to residents and visitors. This multi-agency and resident approach led to Cayman qualifying through the World Health Organization and ultimately the removal of the Cayman Islands from the list of countries on the US Centers for Disease Control & Prevention (CDC) website.

This means that visitors traveling here to enjoy our lush Caribbean island and beautiful beaches, including Plantana’s own private stretch of Seven Mile beach, need not worry about the risk of receiving a local transmission of the disease here.

We look forward to welcoming you and your entire family to Grand Cayman to enjoy everything our island paradise has to offer. Already thinking about planning a trip?
