From no fuss to fancy and everything in between, you are sure to find your own perfect way to bring in the New Year here in Grand Cayman.

Brunch is something of a tradition at any time of the year in the Cayman Islands but over the holidays, restaurants and hotels across the island go all out with delicious displays of fresh seafood, breakfast classics, roasted meats and bottomless bubbles. Our top suggestions for bringing in the New Year in style at a New Year’s Eve or New Year’s Day brunch are:

•       The Ritz Carlton –943 9000

•       Ferdinand’s at The Westin –949 3800

•       Luca at Caribbean Club –623 4550

•       Ave at the Kimpton Seafire Resort –746 0000

•       Anchor & Den at Marriott –949 0088

•       Catch –949 4321

•       Blue Cilantro –945 4372

The celebrations start early at Camana Bay with a “New Year’s Eve-Eve” party on December 30th, featuring live music from 8-piece R&B funk band, The Mellotones. Camana Bay is also the place to be for family dining and fireworks on New Year’s Eve with fireworks displays at both 7 pm and midnight.

For those looking to dance the night away, prepare for a later start than you may be used to as local laws prohibit live music and dancing until after the clock strikes midnight, due to New Year’s Eve falling on a Sunday this year. There is still plenty of time to party after 12.01am with a number of free events featuring live entertainment happening along Seven Mile Beach. Dance in the new year with your toes in the sand at Royal Palms Beach Club and Calico Jack’s, enjoy dinner and dancing at Grand Old House or take a boat over to Kaibo for a night under the stars.

Or of course, as the clock strikes midnight, you could simply enjoy the view of various fireworks displays along Seven Mile Beach from your very own beach chair or lanai right here at Plantana.

However you choose to bring in the New Year, we wish you all the best for a healthy, happy and prosperous 2018.

Happy New Year!
